Meet Our Team

Our History

It was by 1999,  while I was working in at Artsmia, an art store that we had in the Bronx, NY, next to a rehab program for woman. Some of those women came into the art store and wanted to learn how to do ceramic and art crafts; I also knew many of their stories. When The Lord touched my heart and gave me the vision of working restoring woman and families.

About a year later, the Lord’s called me as a prophetic intercessor for God’s people, in a watch night prayer at the church in the year 2000, in the Bronx, NY. Some months later, the Lord confirmed His calling for the ministry using the evangelist Noemi Elosegui at the church service.

“You are hurt but not as hard as many others, you are called to help to heal others that are far more broken than you,” said the Lord to me. At that moment, I had no knowledge or understanding of the full meaning of those words; I cannot remember the exact date, but I never forget those words, neither the prophet’s name.

We started the ministry The Potter’s House, doing praying meetings and groups at the women’s houses. Again, without having a real understanding of all the implications about the personal, finance and family cost of the ministry work. Even those, women’s heart touch and healing; sometimes the Lord has allowed me to get into contact with some of those women, and they started to tell how the Word of God impacted their lives.

In November 2001, the Lord gave me the name of Mujer Virtuosa in a Dream. However, it was not until 2002, that He gave me the purpose, the vision and mission statement, and all the details about how the ministry will be developing and operating. We changed the name from The Potter’s House to Mujer Virtuosa Ministries; I wrote it down every detail that the Lord raise to my heart.

In 2004 we moved to Stamford, CT where we continue developing the ministry. In 2006, we joined as a non-profit organization in the State of Connecticut, and we got the approval as a tax-exempt organization by the IRS. In 2008, we opened an office center in Stamford, CT; that office was closed in 2013. We are currently operating from Stamford, CT. and recently we open our new subsidiary in Canastica, San Cristobal Dominican Republic. We have provided services to communities in Connecticut and New York City since 2002.

Through this 15 years, we have seen how the vision of Virtuous Woman has been growing step by step. Today we can say, that until now, the Lord has brought us, and He will continue to carry us. We have had ups and downs, but without turning to the left, nor to the right, we continue to advance and fighting the good battle of faith.

Yes, we still are in the process of building up, reaching out the fulfilling of the Virtuous Woman Ministries' vision complete development as the Lord gave it to us in the year 2002, in the Bronx, NY. " The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. "Matt. 11:12, KJV).

Thanks to the infinite grace of the Lord, His favor and His mercy for friends and brothers like you who believe in our calling. He blessed us by your support and generous contributions. Virtuous Woman Ministries, Inc. has been able to reach, touch and impact the lives of hundreds of women and their families, in one way or another through all these years.

We bless your live in the Name or Our Lord Jesus Christ. We invite you to join our us with your generous contribution to our cause.

Your contribution could be the seed to harvest thousands of women and families reaching and transformed in the United States and now in the Dominican Republic.
